Construction Starts on 16 New Homes in Kidwelly

Construction works are now underway to deliver an affordable housing scheme in Kidwelly. This collaboration marks the first package deal development with a private developer to provide affordable housing in Carmarthenshire, setting a new precedent for future projects in the region.
The new homes at Parc Pendre aim to address the pressing need for affordable housing in the area. The development will not only provide much-needed homes but also bring significant benefits to the local community. A key component of the project is the community benefits package, which includes the employment of apprentices, offering valuable opportunities for local young people to gain skills and experience in the construction industry. Additionally, the project will support various community initiatives aligned with the Wellbeing of Future Generations Act (Wales) 2015, ensuring sustainable and inclusive growth.
Daniel Madge, Managing Director of Life Property Group Ltd, expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating, "We are honoured to partner with Carmarthenshire County Council on this groundbreaking initiative. The new homes at Parc Pendre represent a significant step forward in our commitment to delivering high-quality, affordable housing while also investing in the future of our local communities."
This partnership underscores the shared commitment of Life Property Group Ltd and Carmarthenshire County Council to improving the quality of life for residents in Kidwelly and beyond. By working together, they aim to create a sustainable and inclusive community that meets the needs of its residents now and in the future.
